At Antithesis, we are passionate about showcasing high quality work across a variety of genres, including short fiction, poetry, academic writing and non-fiction. We are keen to nurture emerging talent and test boundaries, publishing experimental writing and thought-provoking scholarly discourse.

Working with new and emerging writers, students will take their editorial and professional communication skills out of the classroom and into real situations. Our editors commission pieces, assess submissions, edit, proofread and disseminate peer review.

Get involved in a student-run journal with a thirty-year history that has published writers such as Christos Tsiolkas, Joanna Bourke, Tony Birch, Terry Eagleton, Gore Vidal, Stephen Fry, Shaun Tan and Slavoj Zizek.

We are seeking:

  • Creative content editors (short fiction, creative nonfiction and poetry)

  • Academic content editors

  • Managing blog editor

  • Blog editorial and writing teams

  • Marketing team

We particularly encourage applicants who identify as queer and/or trans and/or of any colour, religion, age, ability or gender. We also welcome applications from students at any stage in their graduate degree, from first years to those graduating at the end of 2020.
